I really dislike Times Square, especially the digital screens that are everywhere. There have been occasions when I’ve driven down Broadway and worried I’d be so distracted by the lights that I’d jump the curb. It’s a good thing that these days it’s a pedestrian promenade, because let me tell you, if ever I saw these images while driving, I’m certain I would either lose control of the car or stop short to stare, causing a pile-up.

Like You Would Ever Catch Me Doing That !

I love “Will and Grace,” mostly for its fast-paced, clever dialogue and the shallow,  pretentious, self-centered characters.  Yes, they’re over the top, but often enough, there’s a kernel of me that I recognize in Will, Grace, or even Karen.   So, it’s not unusual for me to have the morning re-runs on as I launch into my work day, as I did today.

The episode  is called “Fanilow.” Will fibs about what he’s going to be doing on Christmas Eve  ( feeding the homeless ) and  sneaks off to be first on line to score tickets to Barry Manilow’s Christmas Concert by camping out overnight.  Although he’s not in the closet about being gay, Will is deep in the closet about his infatuation with Barry Manilow. (Gee,  guess he feels embarrassed that a high-powered, sophisticated lawyer is ga-ga over a celeb) First on line, Will  gets comfy in his little sand chair and Burberry throw to wait for the box office to open. Along comes a young woman, Cheryl, ( played by Sara Gilbert) who is devastated that she’s not first on line. It turns out, they are both hardcore “Fanilows.”

[ETA] You can read the transcript here -but check out Netflix, Amazon or Hulu for the Episode.

This was one of the rare Will and Grace episodes that had not a shred, not an iota, not a scintilla of me.  So I turned it off  to do something more important. I went to a virtual birthday party for Richard Armitage with other Armitageans and soldiers in the ArmiArmy. We checked out some fan art and fanfiction, shared links to fanvids we liked and compared the gifts we virtually sent to RA.  After all, it is Armitage Day!

He Made the Main Page!

Jasrangoon is on the case. Her patience paid off.

Comments there please.

Me, My Thoughts, and Richard Armitage

Several years ago I used to really enjoy going to IMDb.com and checking out “Born Today.” I didn’t do it everyday, but it was still fun to see what celebs had birthdays when. When I became a Richard Armitage fan I started checking on his birthday to see if he’d make the main/home page. Last year I was hopeful, after all he had been in Captain America and had The Hobbit coming out. No such luck, I had to click on “see all birthdays” and he was of course there, but just one name among the many listed.

But today:

It’s a silly little thing, but it just one more thing to add the list of changes a year can make!
