Berlin Station – Not Great News About How/When to Watch

Just to let you all know, especially those considering Sling TV as a means to watch Berlin station, according to EPIX, Berlin Station will not be available until 90 days after it airs on EPIX. This is the same as Hulu.Screen Shot 2016-08-13 at 9.29.55 AM

What If EPIX Released Berlin Station S1.1 and S1.2 on You Tube?

Some of us have been wondering just what was meant by @RCArmitage and Bradford Winters meant when they tweeted that the first two episodes of Berlin Station would be available free on all platforms.

Commenter, Christine had and idea, which lead to another idea.

This is the link , to the article which described the clever way Anonymous Content and others generated interactive buzz on the web, and provided intentional “leaks” on Twitter and elsewhere, so that fans following the show, could see the first episode. The  marketing gimmick for Mr. Robot has some similarities to what we’re seeing for Berlin Station – which also might make use of “leaks.”

In addition, I found this Variety article announcing that two Showtime shows were being aired on “al platforms” for free – the shows were the Plot for Dice and the season Premiere of House of Lies, aired on multiple platforms, including Hulu and You Tube.

This would really be neat, although, Richard Armitage, in his tweet, was pretty specific that the two episodes for would be made available “across the US.”

You might want to check this out as well.  or something like it.

Berlin Station – 1st 2 Eps Free? What Does This Mean?

Micra retweeted this, and, while I think this may be the surprise Richard Armitage mentioned on Twitter, I’m trying to figure it out. I have not found any other confirmation of free episodes, or first two episodes on October 16 free.
Although, services like Hulu and SlingTV, which will show Berlin Station, do have free trials – as of now, these options don’t fit the bill. Sling has only a one week free trial and Hulu is supposed to start showing BS 90 days after it airs.

So, is it possible that ALL platforms on which Berlin Station will be available, may show the first two episodes in real time for free?

I can’t figure it out, but I’m looking. Anyone with more information, please chime in.

EPIX – Where to Find It (2)

I was working on a post to try and parse out how and where fans can watch Berlin Station by obtaining access to EPIX. In the end, and unless I come up with anything new, I think you can find most of the information here and here

This is the key information and the most recent ( we are interested in EPIX – the flagship channel, and EPIX HD – the streaming services; however, if EPIX works like HBO and Starz, they often show encore presentations, during the same week as the original, on one of their secondary channels on another day and time of the week.

In addition, as previously mentioned, you can get EPIX and Berlin Station in real time, with SLING TV, and 90 days after airing with HULU and AMAZON Prime Video (extra package). There are also other streaming services, like X-Box, and ROKU which contain these packages  but I think you need a cable subscription to access EPIX through ROKU.

All of this is only for cable or satellite subscribers in the U.S. or, if streaming or using on demand, you must have a U.S. IP address.
