This gives some info on what the play’s about … three acts set in 1967, 1990 and 2011: https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2010/oct/13/love-love-love-review But then if he’s playing a loser getting the band back together (and winning ‘the UK’s biggest talent show’), the mustache actually makes sense! Omg now I really want to see that …
Slightly OT, but I see that “Sandra” whom the review mentions, is played by none other than Daniela Denby-Ashe – better known to most of us as the beautiful Margaret Hale from N&S!! Now there’s someone I’d love to see Richard work with again. They had such great chemistry 🙂
Yes! Wouldn’t it be nice to have a movie adaptation of the play with RA in it–or another Digital Theatre filming? Then we could buy it and watch it again.
I hope we get a digital version even if it’s the off-Broadway show. Broadway shows are beginning to surface int he same way as NT Live and other events.
Actually he has! He was in “Malice Aforethought” and had what some described as “The Mustache of Evil” Check out a clip of it on RichardArmitageOnline.com 🙂
In his role as Bill Chatford in this murder mystery, Richard referred to himself as a “misogynistic cad”! I have the DVD but confess it’s not one of my favourites 😦
Thanks for the update. I’m still wondering how the guitar image was taken without getting the cell phone in the way of his face–because it looks like a straight on shot.
I saw that, too! 🙂 Very ’60’s …

And 70’s. But 60’s fits the outline of Love, Love Love.

To me it’s very 70s, but I think he would be sexy in a mustache. Any other roles where he’s had it without the beard?
