Does anyone else think Richard Armitage’s tush looks a little different these days?

Nah, gorgeous as ever! 😉
(I had another reply, but got sidetracked by someone’s posterior. *blush*)

I was thinking more gorgeous.

In the “Hannibal” shot, his gluteal muscles are contracted in exercise to better enable him to lift his body weight, and to help tighten his abdominal muscles. In the “Spooks” shot, they are in a ‘resting’ position, because they are not needed the same way when putting on pants. The thigh muscles lift the legs in that case. Same lovely anatomy, different situations.

Totally agree. I can see my own tush change shape just by squeezing the glutes.

You took the words right out of my mouth, boudicca61!…as a matter of fact, you put it most concisely (better than me, I think, as I would probably have rambled!!!). Thx! 🙂

He seems to have gained some weight (not fat, just sheer muscle) than he was in his Spooks days. Either way–the view is very fine.

His body seems to change for his roles, and even then, how is body looks is deceptive. He seems to build and lose muscle mass at will. And then, every so many months, there are fans and observers who are saying how thin he looks ( compared to what?).

I am tempted to say he could make a fortune with that secret alone, but seriously his changing body shape is all down to hard work, he is superb and dedicated to his craft.

According to Wikipedia he is 43, which makes this body all the more impressive.

Yes. Very much so. Likely he had to do that workout all day long as well for that scene. What average 40 something male can do that?!

Not very many can. He is anything but average😊

Ardent fans will tell you that he turns 44 next mont ( Aug 22). These middle-aged,older actors are amazing at how long they keep so fit. Graham McTavish, who was in The Hobbit with him, and is in Outlander, is 54 and looks amazing.

Graham looks damn good as well. Maybe he could keep up with this kind of physical demand, the way he has been training lately, but I think that would be asking a lot. But he sure looks like he could.

it is all down to the hard reality of a life of exercise 🙂 He’s never stopped really, he just does a whole lot of it when required on top of the constant amount of it that he does usually. Which makes it easier 😉 if it can be called that to build it up in shorter amounts of time if needed. And gobbling down quite a few protein shakes i suspect, the stuff was on his counter photo from the Crucible too. Yuk, i could never drink that and thankfully i don’t have to. All the more power and respect to him for his determination and constant work. It pays off and because he has actually not lost and gained quite so much weight through it but mostly built up muscle and let it go down to normal again sometimes the skin still plays ball nicely, but i always thought he was blessed in that respect as well.
I do think his body has changed, he has muscles as Guy as well and as Porter, they look different now even if the bulk of them is similar, it is more sinewy if you will, it looks more mature, but no less fine in my humble opinion 🙂
As somebody who is not fond of gyms and only likes walking and swimming i am in constant admiration of his dedication in this department, lord knows it takes enormous will power.
