In my time (last century) it was considered cool to know the poems of Lorca, Mayakovski, Prevert, etc. by heart, so its kind of funny to me that you feel the need to explain who Lorca is. BTW, its actually a very apt comparison. Based on the reviews and photos I’ve seen, the whole Crucible production is reminiscent of Lorca’s rural tragedies – the whole mise-en-scene, the chairs, the costumes, not to mention the atmosphere of gloom, doom and unavoidable destiny…
