Pete Seeger was especially dear to New Yorkers for his environmental efforts to clean the Hudson River and his community activism in the Berkshires and Hudson Valley. Millions of us grew up on his songs, singing them with delight and gusto in camp, in schools and at the occasional demonstration.
Safe journey, Mr. Seeger. And thank you.

Being generous of spirit is a wonderful way to live. You were more than generous with your spirit, Pete. We will certainly miss you, man.

Saw him a few times in the 70’s, a truely thoughtful and good man. This one was a particular favourite of my kids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlDGHEk68XI
He will be much missed.
