As I found out just now there are still tickets to buy for the reading…. Gah!! All of us fans from good old Europe (not to mention Australia and other places!) are lacking here…. I’m actually still a bit off and very sad as it obviously would be so easy to gain access and even the price sounds quite moderate. If not all would be a neglecting of the considerable distance between NY and Munich that needs to be overcome….
Yes , there are still seats and I wonder if that’s why the Y is tweeting about it. The tweets might do the trick. There are not many seats left going by the seating chart. But there is one for you. Hop a dragon.
Blame it on Serv’s New York connection. Apparently they were misinformed the Season Ticket Holders needed the seats and we shouldn’t try to buy them. I had planned on going with a friend of mine from Baltimore, but cancelled based on her recommendation not to go and made other plans for my birthday present. No problem. Next time.
I didn’t see anything about that. When you bought your seats, you saw which seats were already filled and which were available. ( Well I didn’t then, because I didn’t look) but I got the best available seat and it’s not in the middle. I looked today though, and there were about two rows in orchestra on the sides still available and seats in the balcony. All other seats were unavailable. These organizations send out early mailings to their members or people on their mailing list first. I must have missed the recommendation not to go -I was probably too busy buying tickets. but hey. It’s only Monday. There are still tickets. It’s a 3 hour train ride. Go for it. It’ll be a great birthday present.
I haven’t decided. I don’t usually do things like that, I like to get out as soon as possible, ( I did at the fan event) but then I don’t usually have a chance to see Richard Armitage up close ( no autograph for me, no photo for me- so surely no opportunity to chat) but I might hang out to see him and watch him with other fans. He may have no other way out and two people at the Y have confirmed that the artists will be in the gallery – but that may not mean all the artists. There’s one other actor who I thought I recognized by face, but not name – the rest, besides Annabel Capper, I don’t know or know of.
It’s interesting that they’ve chosen to tweet about the event in that way- acknowledging RA and his movie role as a draw card. Seems like unusual practice for a cultural institution like that, but good on them for recognising a big selling point.
There’s a box on the webpage to email an RSVP, but it also looks like they opened it up to everybody, because they changed the venue for the talk from a small lounge to the main.hall. I don’t know who can use the tkts. Try twitter maybe?
Reblogged this on Me + Richard Armitage and commented:

Unfortunately I’m not on too friendly terms with dragons… Maybe one of the eagles could spare some time…… 😀

Linda60, I feel for your frustration…seats still going wanting and so many fans willing to fill them if only they could.
Whenever I feel pouty about missing this, I remind myself that I was lucky enough to see Richard when Australia hosted him in his Popcorn Taxi appearance. The event itself only cost $25AUD so it was certainly value for money IMHO. 😉
Have you decided if you are going to the gallery afterwards Perry? I realise there is no guarantee RA will be there, but having seen the reading there may be other actors who piqué your interest. 🙂

Yes. We’ve been commenting about that all day long. All seats were not filled, so maybe they were looking for a full house.

I may have two tickets for 35 and under if my girls can’t go. And how do you rsvp for the pre-show talk?
